Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Malaysian Arthroscopy Society, I would like to invite you to ASSA 2026. The theme of the conference this time is Bridging Idealism with Realism. Arthroscopic surgery has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past 50 years. Many of us in this region are already practising cutting edge techniques in arthroscopic surgery. However, not everyone in every place has the expertise or facilities for that. Care has to be tailored to the population and needs of each place.

The organising and scientific committees have crafted a comprehensive program comprising instructional course lectures, symposia, plenary sessions, free paper presentations; debate sessions, post-graduate quiz and live surgery demonstrations. The Azmi Latif award for best free paper and Sanusi Ghani award for poster presentation will be up for grab as usual.

The conference will be held in Penang island; a very popular tourist destination in Malaysia. 2026 is also Visit Malaysia Year. I urge everyone to take this opportunity to come to Penang and enjoy the conference as well as the multiple tourist destinations here.
